Post subject:  Arduino code error (arduino-api)

Hi,

I have purchased LoRa and Multiprotocol shield. I have downloaded the library zip file for Arduino from cooking-hacks https://www.cooking-hacks.com/documentation/tutorials/extreme-range-lora-sx1272-module-shield-arduino-raspberry-pi-intel-galileo/. I copied "arduinoLoRa" to llibraries folder of arduino.

I am confused where to copy "arduino-api" folder. Because with out it I am getting following compilation errors:
../arduino-api/arduinoMultiprotocol.h: No such file or directory

../arduino-api/arduinoUtils.h: No such file or directory

Some help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi malik_umair91,

You need to put these folders:

· arduino-api
· arduinoLoRa

In the Libraries folder of your Arduino IDE.

Hi,

I have copied the libraries downloaded from Download the SX1272 Libraries for Arduino

The program for LoRa Configuration is compiling smoothly and I have uploaded the code to Arduino UNO R3 with the Multiprotocol Shield with the same configuration as stated in this Tutorial.

When I open the serial monitor, I only get a message "SX1272 module configuration in Arduino" and nothing else.

I have checked it using two separate Arduino UNO's.

My question is whether my supplied order is defective? Your help is needed in this regard.

Sincerely,
Malik

Hi malik_umair91,

In your serial monitor. Have you configured your baudrate to 9600?

It seems to be a software issue because if you see only that messages it means that the sketch stop. Have you got the same problem if you upload the sketch and you use the Arduino without the shield?

You need to see something like:

Code:
SX1272 module configuration in Arduino
Setting power ON: state 1
Setting Mode: state 1
Setting Header ON: state -1
Setting Channel: state -1
Setting CRC ON: state -1
Setting Power: state -1
Setting node address: state -1
SX1272 initialization failed

And with the LoRa an the multi protocol shield:

Code:
SX1272 module configuration in Arduino
Setting power ON: state 0
Setting Mode: state 0
Setting Header ON: state 0
Setting Channel: state 0
Setting CRC ON: state 0
Setting Power: state 0
Setting node address: state 0
SX1272 successfully configured

Can you upload some photos to see the hardware?

Thanks.

Hi malik_umair91,

If you try other examples, have you got the same problems?

Are your libraries correctly installed?

Hi,

Refer to the image below which defines the path to the installed libraries provided by you. Yes I have checked other examples, I am getting the same result NO COMMUNICATION.

Also, I want to ask, how can request a refund, because I believe I may have got a faulty order.

Thanks.
Attached is the image.

Hi malik_umair91,

I have uploaded a working Arduino IDE with all the libraries installed to test it. Please try it and tell us. We need to do some tests before sending you to the RMA process.
